This is a very unique map release. In a response to the bush fires Australia I decided to draw a map that depicts some of the unique beauty of my home nation, some of the land which is still burning. And, more than a bit of art, I wanted to forward all of your generous purchases towards a worthy charity.

For the months of January and February 2020, all purchases of this map (and its variants and assets) are going to be sent to the Animal Rescue Collective, who are working to deliver 10 tonnes of food to the countless animals who currently have nothing to eat.

We’ve all seen the videos of singed koalas and dehydrated critters, and together we can do this to help them. Though we’re all stuck in our respective countries and lives, all of us giving a little bit can make a big impact. Thank you!

A special thanks to all of our Patrons, which have collectively raised over $3,000 USD already!

I hope that you can find a place for this ruddy bush in your campaign. Perhaps as a transition between forest and desert? Maybe as a place were the soil was cursed blood-red? Is it a secret valley with an enchanted pond hidden in the mountains?

Whatever you come up with, please share your ideas in the comments!

Australian Familiars

Four classic Australian critters, for use as familiars, creatures, or a terrifying forest ambush. Take the CR values with a grain of salt, as always, and enjoy!

Magpie

Much like a raven, but with a swoop for protecting its young and the intelligence to use it.

Drop Bear

A koala, driven and changed by the harshness of its environment. What was once cute and cuddly is now a ravenous beast of legend. And where there is one, there are many.

Quokka Photo

Quokka

The world’s happiest animal, an avatar of pure cuteness. What crazed thoughts stir behind those adorable eyes?

Koala

A critter famous for sitting in trees, eating, and being a bad choice of ally in combat.
